Slash Commands Change

Text commands have been disabled.
This is because Helicord is no longer able to access the "Message Content Intent," which means the bot can't read your message text to detect commands anymore. To keep everything running smoothly, we are switching to Slash Commands for all future interactions.
While this means we are losing the simplicity of text commands, especially ones that can have one letter shortcuts going as short as h!c
to see your collections, I am hoping to integrate some ways to make certain interactions easier to access.
For example, after doing missions you will notice two new buttons:
The buttons that have the green slash command icon, mean that by pressing those buttons, you will trigger the same function that the slash commands do - albeit without defined parameters, which in this case /show
, which replaces h!view
, will pull the most recent card (the card you got from this mission).
I took the opportunity to rename some commands.
h!buy
no longer brings you to the S.H.I.E.L.D. vendor and the new /buy
can only be used to buy cards from the Trading Post.
h!view
was replaced with /show
as a means to show off a card to peek at another user's card. For all other purposes you should be using /manage
to manage your card.
h!drop
was replaced with /scout
. That command was called drop because other bots similar to Helicord used it and we thought it would just be easier for players this way, but scout is more thematic to what "missions" are in helicord.
h!use
was replaced with /item
to more specifically point out that you are activating an item.
h!c
h!inv
and h!bal
have all been replaced by /vault
. The vault command now hosts everything that your account owns, your card collection, your items, and currency.
h!config
was replaced with /configure
and was completely changed with set options ( 2 right now ) of what the command can do. Guilds no longer need to use this command to register the guild, Helicord will automatically do that when any slash command is used in the guild.
h!prefix
and h!ignore
were removed.
This is a big change, and I know it will turn many away from Helicord since text commands are so much easier to use, but I had no choice here if I wanted to bot to stay online. I will continue to monitor how players interact with these new commands, and will implement any improvements we can come up with.
In that spirit, please join our discord server and drop your suggestions on how I can make using Helicord easier and more fun.
